I grew up in the AME church, loving God with almost no language for the gifts of the Spirit. When the dreams and the knowing came, I had nowhere safe to take them. I learned the hard way, through spiritual abuse, burnout, and leading while carrying pain no one could see.
I've served as a worship pastor and as a prophet in my local church, and I've coached thousands of believers online. I built Selah Seminary so the Black women coming behind me would be trained, covered, and cared for as they grow into the call — not to become anyone's permanent covering. Healthy prophets are formed, not just declared.
